Clarinetist, Bass Clarinetist, and Arts Administrator, Taylor Barlow is Executive Director of the Huntsville Youth Orchestra in Alabama and has performed with the Carbillo Festival Orchestra, Western Piedmont Symphony, and Mostly Modern Festival Orchestra. She has performed and given lecture recitals and performances at Conferences such as the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, the College Music Society’s Southern Conference, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Undergraduate Research and Creativity Expo. As a bass clarinetist, Taylor has received the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Sky Hi Award and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Undergraduate Research and Creativity Award to commission and premiere new works and recitals featuring the bass clarinet. Taylor holds a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her primary teachers include Jeff Anderle, Dr. Andy Hudson, Dr. Anthony Taylor, and Asher Carlson.
