FAQ: Monte Sano Art Festival
Arts Huntsville is excited to welcome the Monte Sano Art Festival back to Monte Sano State Park! We can’t wait for you to join us and hope you’ll walk away with a piece of art (or several!) to enliven your home, garden, or office.
If you plan to join us, here’s what you need to know:
When is the festival?
Saturday, September 10th, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday, September 11th, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Monte Sano State Park.
Is the festival free?
YES…but Monte Sano State Park charges $10 per car for parking or $5 per person for walk-ins – cash only. This money goes directly to supporting our beautiful state parks.
Do I need to bring cash?
YES! Monte Sano State Park will only take cash payments for parking. Most artists accept cards.
Can we bring our dogs?
YES! Leashed pets are welcome. Of course, we ask that your pup can handle being around large groups of people, other dogs, kids, and delicate (and sometimes expensive) artwork. Many artists will have a “you break it, you buy it” policy.
Is it a kid-friendly event?
OF COURSE!
Will masks be required?
No.
Will there be food?
YES! We know all that shopping can work up an appetite. We’ll announce this year’s food vendors closer to the festival!
Can I follow the festival on social media?
PLEASE DO! Follow Arts Huntsville on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest Monte Sano Art Festival updates, and be sure to tag @artshuntsville and use the #MonteSanoArtFestival tag for your photos throughout the weekend! We’d love to see them and share!
