My painting style, whether in watercolor, oils or pastel, shows my love for the “act of painting”. I get caught up in the painting experience with bold brush strokes and pastel marks. I equate the feeling I get from a finished painting to the adrenaline rush I got after flying several hours in my sailplane. Each painting is a new adventure with new challenges. Moving into oils has provided new ways for expression not available with watercolor and pastels. In my landscapes and still lifes, I try to capture the light and magic of the moment with energetic brush strokes. My work hangs in private collections throughout the South and is available through the Studio 100 Gallery in Huntsville, Alabama.
