Ann Moeller Steverson is an oil painter known for her mood-filled figures, portraits, and still-lifes. Her contemporary work bridges classical beauty with the modern painting practices of today. She has been awarded the honor of the Bold Brush Award, a distinction an artist may achieve only once in their lifetime. Ann’s work has recently been selected as a finalist in the Art Renewal Center, been featured in several Oil Painters of America exhibits. She has been awarded by the National Acrylic & Oil Painters Society and Portrait Society of America.
In 2015, Ann partnered with two other artists to help co-found Protege Atelier, where she paints, teaches, and assists in bringing master artist workshops to Huntsville. Steverson is also the inventor and founder of Venus Copper Panels, now known as Artefex Copper Panels, the first CCM (copper composite material) artist panel.
A native of Madison, Alabama, Ann began painting in oils at the University of Montevallo in 1999. She graduated in 2002 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, completing a B.A. with a Fine Arts Concentration. Ann then acquired a Master of Art Education from Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama.
Ann exhibits her work nationally and internationally and soon will have several of her works included in the Peregrine Collection via which they will be archived on the moon.
