Born and raised in the South, lead singer Jeremy Parvin grew up with the soulful sounds of gospel music in his ears and on his lips. This dynamic “son of a preacher man” harnesses the raw power and emotion of the roots music he loves.
Greg Chapman was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Texas. He got his first guitar at age seven. Greg has lived in the Muscle Shoals, Alabama, area since 1993. He holds a B.S. in music from the University of North Alabama. Influenced by classic rock, Texas blues, and jazz, Greg started writing poetry and songs in the 1990s. His guitar work and songwriting skills are crucial parts of Moon Tree’s sound.
Bass player John Hicks is a native Alabamian. He has performed and recorded with bands in New York City, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Austin, and Jackson, Mississippi. He currently resides on Coburn Mountain, near Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Drummer Kevin Reed brings a host of influences to the table. As a journeyman drummer, he’s played for acts of all genres over the years, but there’s no doubt he’s a rocker through and through.
