Born in Pennsylvania, raised in Alabama, Nigel King-Law, AKA Treetop, was brought up in the Alabama Blues Project under the supervision of award-winning blues guitarist, Debby Bond. Soon after moving to Huntsville to attend Alabama A&M for music performance, Nigel performed at almost every Venue Huntsville has to offer including the VBC and the Orion Amphitheater. Accomplishments including first chair violinist for the Tuscaloosa city schools strings ensemble, and lead guitarist for AAMU Jazz band, Nigel has made a name for himself as a producer, songwriter, and session musician.
After performing with various artists in his local scene, Nigel formed his own rock band called, The Gifted, to perform all of his various originals, including his 3rd album, Shells And Leaves. The Gifted is made up of his close friends he either met in college, or at his day jobs. The Gifted has a surf rock sound inspired by acts such as, Red hot chili peppers, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and The Arctic Monkeys. Now being the frontman for his own band, Nigel intends to push the boundaries of his artistry and guitar playing.
