As the leaves begin to fall and temperatures cool down, we are celebrating Fall with more than 30 local arts organizations, artists, and small arts businesses who make Huntsville a creative place to live all year round! From art and dance classes to symphony performances, hip hop cyphers to towering public art exhibits, unique art, and awe-inspiring gallery exhibits…we invite you to Fall for the Arts with us all month long!

Huntsville Madison County Public Library Bicentennial Celebration
You’re invited to celebrate the oldest public library in the state on Saturday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Early Works Museum. Special appearance and workshop by Laura Murray, illustrator of the Amazing Alabama coloring book. Celebration will also feature puppet shows, cake, crafts and more!

Huntsville Chamber Music Guild Celebrity Concert Series
Featuring Robert McDuffie & the Center for Strings Orchestra, with Margery McDuffie Whatley, piano. Held at Trinity United Methodist Church at 5pm.

Intro to Relief Printing at Green Pea Press
Create a linoleum block print from start to finish! This is the perfect workshop for beginners, or those with light experience who are wanting to further develop their skills and learn different techniques. Registration required. 10am-6pm.

Merrimack Hall will be selling pottery created by their student artists.

Pictures of Hope Art Show presented by ArtLady Sonya Clemons and the Jackson County Drug Court and Family Wellness Court
This art show hosted at Pine Bros. Coffee Company in Scottsboro from noon to 4pm. Pictures of Hope is an art program created to benefit the Recovery Community in Jackson County.

Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre presents Lyle the Crocodile
Based on the book Lyle, Lyle the Crocodile, this stage adaptation follows the story of Lyle – a crocodile who mysteriously shows up in the bathroom of the Primm’s new house. Lyle is no ordinary reptile, but that doesn’t stop neighbor Mr. Grumps from trying to banish him to the zoo!

Tchaikovsky Five presented by Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
This performance spotlights two very different Russian symphonies – Prokofiev’s short Classical and Tchaikovsky’s lush, romantic firth symphony, whose second movement offers one of his best-known melodies.

Doctor Osborn will bring his annual bag of Halloween tricks and treats back to Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater. This is a family fun show with balloons, magic, and comedy for all ages. Costumes are encouraged! Tickets available here.
